Marianne, so true. I don't know if you've been on goodreads in a while. I hadn't until a few days ago. But I just read a book called "The Two-Income Trap" which was really interesting. It talks about the financial reasons why it's better--a saving grace--to have Mom at home. I don't agree with all the opinions of the authors, and they don't necessarily make a plea for moms to stay at home. (In fact, I believe they are working women who wrote it.) But there is study after study to support the notion of moms not to work outside the home.
