How Do You Eat An Elephant?

One piece at a time, baby!

See that? That one small slice of a Sam's Club bakery cake? That is the only bit of this cake that I didn't eat myself. Should I be proud or horrified? Don't answer that. I know I just grossed out more than half of my readers. The rest of you already know me too well. You know of my love for cheap, Crisco-based-frosting bakery cakes. And I really did only eat a piece a day. Well, except twice. But that's not so crazy, right? Can I get an "Amen!"? No? Ok. I treated myself for my birthday by getting it, but Clayton wasn't interested, so I slowly made it disappear. Ta daaa!

AMEN! We are two peas in a pod. I have come so close to blogging about my pumpkin pie infatuation so many times. I can polish off 2 pies easily in one week by myself and I have convinved myself that it is a healthy, hearty breakfast on its own!! Oh and I need at least one bottle of whipping cream per pie.

You and your hilarious blog! I love when I open my blog page and it says, "Clayton & Marianne, updated 29 minutes ago." That means I get to be entertained for the next little bit.

that's a problem in my house ... if I buy it my husband doesn't help eat it so I'm left to pick up the slack ;) except in my case it involves bags of chocolate and ice cream.

My rule has always been that the faster I eat it the less temptation I have.

I don't like cake but wowsers those candy bars will not stop whispering to me. If I polished them off one at a time I would be eating candy bars until next Halloween.
Sooo how long is that last piece going to last?

Somehow, that post made me salivate. And I don't love cake that much. But I'll eat that last piece for ya!

dear marianne-
remember how I wait until my birthday once a year to buy the 6 pound chocolate cake from costco and then relish in consuming the whole thing? Never slice. just eat with fork.
Thank you.
