Ultrasound #1

So my original ultrasound is scheduled for the 23rd of October, but I couldn't wait that long. And for $30 you can find out the gender and get some pictures...so duh. Yesterday we went and here are the results! Best $30 I've ever spent. The first one is my favorite as it looks as if the baby is chatting. The last one has the "results" so don't look at that one or read the end if you don't want to know. However I will be blogging about it in the future, so good luck with that.
P.S. My dad doesn't want to know, so everybody keep it from him if you can.

Little alien faces, just in time for Halloween.

Long spine, good, good. Looks normal. I felt the baby for the first time this week too.
Ta da!
I was totally wrong! I could have sworn it was a boy. I originally wanted a girl, but I got so used to the idea of boys that I was excited for either. We even have a whole bunch of boy stuff. Not because we were shopping for a boy, it was just the odds and ends that we found were all blue, sports or robot related. However, I am really stoked to start sewing and planning. And we are always in the market for names. We have a list, but none seem perfect. I like old fashioned or foreign names, Clayton likes funny ones. A good compromise of those three would be "Helga" or "Broomhilda". So we obviously need some help. Anyhow- More as it happens!

HOW EXCITING! Isn't amazing to see your little one that you've been hoping and praying for! What a miracle! I'm so glad you shared those pics! Wait till you see her little face & stare into her eyes before you decide on a name. Congrats!

Congrats! That is awesome. I was reading your comment on our blog and thought, "isn't Marianne pregnant?" and I go to your blog, and bam! Ultrasound pics! Maybe I can find you a good pediatrician in Utah? :) No, for real, Sam wanted a cool chick to hang out with, and he is super excited for Helga or Broomhilda (whichever one wins) to make like a baby and head out! Well, enough with the puns. Congrats again. Matt

Congrats!
I like to go to websites that show which names were popular certain years. I just googled "popular names in the 1800"s." Here are some of my favorites: Margaret (Meg), Beatrice (Bea), Cecilia, Ruby. Girl names are so much fun! SS

P.S. Actually, it's 1800s. There's not an apostrophe in there. Sorry! I HAD to correct myself.

What a lucky little girl! And Autumn's name vote... Drizella. She voted for Anastasia for her last niece. I guess she's hoping for a wicked step-cousin! :) I think you should somehow incorporate your middle name...Marguerite is just too pretty!

John and I were on the truck (Peterbilt truck) getting a load of waste yogurt out of Dannon and Kaitlin called us and said "Guess what Marianne is having?!" We are so excited for you guys! I'll ask the girls their name picks.
